Emergent Ventures is a fellowship and grant program run by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. It funds high-reward, 'zero-to-one' ideas that advance prosperity, opportunity, and well-being. Both for-profit startups and non-profit projects are welcome.
What makes it unique: there are no formal education or credential requirements. They accept applicants aged 13 and older, and care more about the project's potential than your resume. Grant amounts are flexible and designed to change the trajectory of your life or project.
Applications are rolling with no deadlines. The process is known for being fast — often involving a 15-minute interview if your proposal is promising. This is one of the most accessible sources of non-dilutive funding for ambitious young builders.
