Students receive $20 in credit toward their first paid plan upgrade using social login or Builder ID. The Kiro Free tier includes 50 monthly credits; the Pro tier provides 1,000 monthly credits. After claiming the $20 credit, students can continue using Kiro on paid plans, with additional usage billed at $0.04 per credit as overage charges if enabled.
